Showing Spreadsheet data as a title

Oh great gurus! I video taped some vehicle testing and they captured data from several sensors on the vehicle which is saved in an excel file. Is there a way that I can display this data in realtime? That is, having the title query the spreadsheet and update the numbers dynamically.

I use Word to prepare a mail merge document using data from an excel spreadsheet. Sure would be nice if it could be done in Edius.

I have been on the Adobe site and cannot determine if After Effects will accomplish this. Expensive thing to try if it doesn't work. Are there any other solutions to this problem?
