    pink screen origin?

I don't have Vitascene or Magic Bullet installed and have started getting these pink screens which require a shutdown and reopen to clear. Any idea
what causes this and/or a solution?

For me it is the combination of both. I can use each by itself with no problems.

Okay - yes, I have Vitascene and Magic Bullet Looks. Damn.

Although, this is happening without them being applied - just installed.

Here it's the same. Vitascene causes pink screen. I have to close and Re-open

Magic Bullet Looks was another one that caused problems with a pink screen, it is not supported for Edius 5.0 and up, and I did have it installed and forgot about it being on the system.

I have had this problem also... I got a green screen and sometimes a crash. In my case it happens when I have Prodad Vitascene filters and Magic Bullet Looks together on the same timeline. It's very repeatable.

    Hi Joe,
All I can really think of is to reinstall Edius, but make sure you uninstall all of the folders like I said earlier, and update your video card drivers if needed.

Thank you - I don't have any newblue fx or visititler installed though..

Any other ideas before I have to do the full re-install?

I have found that opening another project, closing it and then re-opening the problem project can often clear the problem...

I had the same problem, but just with the pink screen, I found out that it was the Newblue fx and Vistitler not getting on, so I uninstalled Edius and all the Newblue fx and Vistitler, then reinstalled Edius, done all the updates ect, then just installed Tiltemotion pro and Vistitler and my ProDAD plugins, never had the problem again, please note when I did uninstall Edius I got rid of all the folders, and cleared out my temp folder for Windows, you will have to enable show hidden files and folders in Windows 7, and go into C: Users, and look for Canopus folders and get rid of them, there is also a few other spots on the C: drive that you will find Canopue or Edius folders, (just can't remember at the moment, Anton might tell you if you PM him, I also cleaned all the files from the Registery by doing a search in there for Canopus files.
    Hope this helps!

started a topic Green / Pink display corruption

    Green / Pink display corruption

Periodically I will open up a project that has previously been fine and either the player window or the record window will just display a block of colour - usually green or pink.

The only way I can get rid of it is to start a new project or sometimes to open a new sequence and copy everything into the new sequence.

Does anyone have any ideas what causes this?

Using Edius 5.5 (happened in previous version too) HDSPARK (only started happening when I added this to my setup). Win 7 64bit.
Working...
