  • Ripple help - delete the gap

I have couple clips on the time line (1VA), on the middle clip after set the cursor to the point i want, hit "N" trim in point it deleted the trim and should move the clip next to the previous clip (no gap), but it did not. I don't know why. It's ok with other project. Please help

Yes, both Sync mode and Ripple.

What version of Edius? Zoom to 1 frame mode and see if there are any clip leftovers that are stoping the ripple.

Do you have video on higher or lower tracks that might be preventing the ripple?

no clip was leftover. I brought couple more clips to the timeline and all were the same. Ripple did not have any effect on 1VA, even I have other clip on higher video track (2VA).

            pjsssss: I'm running 4.24

weird thing - with a new Sequence, the Ripple did work. (not on the old sequence)

the way I work is with ripple always off and sync mode on in most cases

Alt+N will automatically close the gap in front of the trim point

Alt+M will automatically close the gap at rear of the trim point

Backspace key will delete gap in front of a selected clip or clips

                anton: thanks !
                I won't need ripple any more. Alt+N & Alt+M will do
