I just wrapped up an interview with a local TV station. They asked for some video on DVD and I asked them what type of editor they use. The station contact said they use Thompson GV. So I naturally assume it's Edius and then encode the HD with the HQ codec. After the interview I asked the cameraman (who is also the editor) if he uses Edius? He just said it's "Thompson". So I'm thinking who doesn't know which editor they use??? Does TGV have another editor out there used in the TV Broadcast business?

Hi Jim,
Good to hear from you. I can't speak for the editor, but there are multiple editing systems for news that we offer. Indeed, it may be that they are using EDIUS but the other possibility is Aurora Edit, or they may use both - particularly when the user is a TV Station.

Thanks for the info. I saw their spot on TV and to my surprise they are not HD yet so they didn't bother with my Edius HD HQ clips. Oh well, it looked pretty good just the same. Here's a link to the spot: http://wkrg.com/812642Jim Edds www.ExtremeStorms.com
