are they makers of squeeze claiming that the fault lies with Canopus?

I contacted roxio support and they also blame Canopus

I gave up on Squeeze because of this problem. Now using Adobe CS4 Media Encoder - no issues at all.

Anton I decided a long time ago to not lay blame for the original issue. I just see that it is a problem because of the proprietory nature of the Canopus codecs. In which case you can not expect everybody else to run around making their code suitable for the GV codec. It is the sole responsibility IMHO for GV to make the thing work as if it were not proprietory. Maybe the odd problem comes about, understood, so fix it when you know about it, they don't.... not very good.

apparently it is not a GV problem as you saw yourself

the CanopusHQ in my DVDit Pro HD 6.4 is flipped, but it is not flipped in your 6.4 from BD Powerstation which is maintained by a different company

started a topic Export from Edius for Sorenson Squeeze

Export from Edius for Sorenson Squeeze

When exporting DV for Sorenson Squeeze, if you don't check "Use MSDV Codec", the video will be flipped vertically is SS.

Now I'm exporting Canopus HQ in Edius 1080i and there is no codec option just the quality of Canopus. So when I export and import to Serenson Squeeze, the video is flipped.

Anyone know a solution to this? For now, I'm flipping the video in Edius before export but there must be a better way.
Working...
