Space should not be an issue as the new HDD's are of same physical size.
You wil love the large storage space and not being contrained all to time.

Few days back I just bought some extra 1Tb drives for back up storage, they are lower in price everytime I get them and now have a 64Mb cache as standard, yummie :)

As I understand it, all I have to do is pull out the old 200GB drives and replace with the 2x1TB identical drives, boot up and go into the bios and stripe them???

I have a serial ATA PCI Raid card. I wonder if space in the drive slot is going to be a concern. Looks pretty tight in there now.

come to think of it, I saw something very similar to this before a hard drive quit on me a few years back. Luckily, I don't have anything important on this 5 year old raid drive. In fact, it might be a good time to upgrade to two 500 GB drives now. Thanks for the help guys!

If this is a software raid you might want to re-format it right away, had this issue on a customer's systems used for Edius and digital stills, he soon after lost the raid.
Be wary of drive failure if the drives are either brand new or are coming of age.

I get this same error form time to time when exporting to disc, have not gotten an answer yet.

well, I figured out the problem - sort of. When I export to a different hard drive everything works. When I export out to the V drive which is the internal raid 0 array (2x200GB drives) I get the error messages. The strange part is I can export other quicktime files to the V drive just fine. The V drive appears to be working fine so I'll probably never figure out why. It may have been like this for a long time since I never exported a quicktime file to this drive and had nothing to do with the upgrade to Edius 5.
Everything works fine on my laptop with Edius 5 and both run the same WinXP and programs. Thanks for the suggestions!

    Exporting from Edius 5

I've got a short clip on the timeline in Edius 5. I want to export with procoder and use the handheld ipod 16x9 NTSC preset to make a video file for an iphone. When I getting all the export settings in and hit start I get a message come up saying, "QT Export: Cound not find the file that user specified". Strange it worked fine when I used Edius 4.61. I must have something missing. When I try and export with Edius 5's Quicktime export option (no procoder) I get "unspecified error". I've got quicktime pro installed. Anybody know what's amiss ???
