  • BluRay Burning Mystery-

This is crazy!-- I posted about the problems of burning BR-- Firecoder won't work, stand alone Disk Burner won't work-- returning code 83452102.
No problem burning regular DVD's. I took the system apart, even took out the C drive, formatted on another computer, then fresh installed Win 7 (was running VIsta Ultimate)-- 64bit.
Tried with and without FIreCoder-- Failed to Write
Can't get FireCoder to show up in Edius either

I Uninstalled and re-installed Edius 8 times with re-starts between all updates-- never putting in NEWBLU or other addons (worked all weekend)
Guess what!-- SAME CODE!--- I know, I thought-- THE BURNER!-- yea

Just for fun, opened Movie Factory 7, and, guess what-- I BURNED A BLURAY!-- I guess the burner works.

OK-- Totally lost-- totally-- GrassValley has been no help- Pioneer no help- I think I've just about lost my mind-- any ideas?-- any help would be trememdeously appreciated

You can burn regular DVD and Blu-ray with MF7 then the source of problem should not be your computer, Edius or burner :-)

What is your project settings ?
What do you have on the timeline ?

or you check search the old threads for solution.

Have you tried creating an Image file from the timeline using Firecoder then going to BD Disk Burner and burning that image to a disk. I find that I have to do this rather than being able to burn directly from the timeline.

it could be that you have windows defender enabled and that your Win7 is not optimized for Edius

What is the region code set for on the Pioneer? if you go to device manager and right click on the drive and select properties you will see the region code setting, make sure it is set to your country, if this does not work can you try the burner in another computer i.e mates one? you could also try updating the firmware for the burner.
