512 MB is the current max for the buffer size.

One thing I didn't see was an audio waveform in the preview and programme overlay a la Premiere - now how useful would that be?

How many frames would you get with 4GB? I guess in 32 bit mode no more than 2GB.

This 'more than 96 frames buffer' sounds cool. Especially if they ever make Edius x64 or Vista compatible so we can use a bunch of RAM.

    Thanks!

Something else I forgot - the realtime buffer is no longer limited to 96 frames - all depends on available RAM I guess.

    DDave,
I had an email invite from Holdan about two weeks prior to the event and was all set to go to Manchester, but had a migraine and that leaves me helpless.

Sadly Holdan the UK distributors, sent out invitations 3 days before the event by which time I had already allocated the London date. Shame that this was not publicised before....Learning Curve????

Simple DVD menu & AC3 encoding is a big one :)

I happened to be in the UK and dropped into The Arsenal football club last week - I liked the new look interface - nodes are fixed -GOOD and I liked the new batch output which allows you to pick a section from the timeline as well as from sequences - really useful - except it does not include formats that use Procoder - everything appeared a bit more pro looking - dialogue boxes with better information etc.

As this is a dot release, I don't reckon there are too many extras - certainly no more keyframable tools and VST is still poor.

The overlay looked much better, my feeling was that version 5 will be a great improvement in terms of tools - and lets hope that the VST bridge is fixed or if this cannot be done, it may as well be removed!
