  • 5.1 audio in Edius... how to proceed?

    Hello, guys!

I'm wrapping up a project (that one with the multi cam issues...in the end, everything went OK) and the orchestra staff is sending me the 5.1 audio from the concert.
In which format should I export the project, so I can author a DVD with the 5.1 audio? I never done that before with Adobe Encore or DVD Studio Pro...

For these cases Advanced DVD Authoring, you can simply export your edited video EDIUS to MPG Elementary Stream (*. m2v), this kind of split the video file and audio separately, allowing you to synchronize and collect several types of audio at once either: LPCM Stereo, AC-3 Stereo, AC-3 5.1 Channel ... imported in the same timeline created in Adobe Encore DVD where the resulting video (*. m2v).

Dont let Encore re-encode the audio or it will turn it into stereo!
