  • ntsc to pal project?

I have a quick question. If I open a PAL preset/project, then drop an NTSC video on it's timeline, then burn a dvd, is the resulting dvd PAL?

Audio sync might be an issue though.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I guess the best way would be to just try it, but I don't have a PAL dvd player. I'll try it when I go to Malaysia.

I have done this many times either way...PAL>> NTSC...NTSC >> PAL and have so far had no issues regards audio, durations upto one hour have been fine, not gone beyond that.....Edius actually does an ok job at this, if you need higher quality I think older versions of procoder faired much better than newer ones and TMPEG Express I think was very good and Antons recomendation IIRC.

          Regards

          Dave.

yes, Procoder is the troublemaker, it will cause audio to go gradually out of lip sync

T4 Xpress is the best for converting

export Edius NTSC timeline to Canopus HQ and then open the HQ in T4 and convert to Pal using these settings
