  • Still image capture

I have a friend who is doing a picture montage the OLD way in Edius/Imaginate. Instead of a scanner they are using a video camera to capture the stills. Is there a way to capture to a still image in Edius instead of video?

yes, connect the camera to video input and make sure you see its image on preview window, then click the snapshot icon on top of timeline

if you don't see this icon, you can add it in customize button section
