How can I slow the crawl without lengthening the piece. Also there is a 5 second black lead in I cannot seem to get rid of. Is there a tutorial somewhere for this application.
When entering a standard dissolve from Edius the entire image goes a little dark while the transition is coming in and out. What causes that and is there a fix? thanks

Thanks
1. you stretch the TM clip so it is longer, then the crawl will be slower
2. the crawl lead in is irrelevant, simply slide it on timeline until the crawl starts where you want it

place the title in title track, then use a title transition
or, if you must place it on video track, don't use the dissolve, make an opacity fade in and out on the keyer track, very quick

We're experiencing difficulty getting the roll graphic to stop jittering at a normal speed. We don't want to slow it down too much as it takes too long to get through 300 names. Is there any solution to this? They look clear on the LCD Computer monitor and yet are very hard to read on the TV screen. In Adobe 6 this seems to work fine and we are using the same TV screen.

Thanks Anton. I will try the Title track. I have just been placing in the video timeline. However, to slow down the crawl I do not want to extend the time. So by stretching, or lengthening, it may slow it down but makes it too long. Does that compute?

rob
do not worry about it appearing to long
see here, actual crawl starts and ends at marked points, ignore the rest
