I cant justify $400 for a new titler at least for now. So im sticking with TM pro.

I think junk_man32 is talking about Harris' development of TMP with respect to new revisions. I can't speak to that specifically, but they still supply TMP as an OEM product to us, we still bundle it with EDIUS, and it still works fine with the current version of EDIUS.

There has been a lot of buzz on the forums about VisTitler. We have known about the company for awhile. Of course, we also bundle ProDAD products - though not Heroglyph (though many on the forum use that titler). and there are many others.

So, bottom line is that TMP works fine with EDIUS today. We are always looking for titlers (and other apps and plugins) to work with EDIUS - and that is true whether they end up being bundled with EDIUS or available as an after market purchase.

      Hope that clarifies a bit.

One thing I will say im annoyed with is I want to switch to Edius Neo 2.5 from Edius 5.X but my TMP pro wont install without Edius 5.X.

I would agree with you a while back. But Visttiler beats the pants of tmpro.

As Pat has said RIP tmpro.

Do you have the full version or the trial version? I know Pat and Steve have the full version and can speak from experience and not extrapolation from the limited trial version.
As far as Pat goes, I know he has a very stable, current, and extremely fast machine. That may make the difference as well.

I just received my full version dealer demo. I have yet to install it on my machine. It seems that the demo version has been the finicky one. Thus I never installed it. I will know more next week.

You do see that the company is active in the threads on the forum. They have every intend to fix any issue that might come up. One of their engineers even spoke about codename SP1. This is really a 1.0 release but the interest in what we think and find is seen by the company response. (waiting for sp1 might be good if your are nervous of diving in)
                        At least I think so.
But every one who is happy with TMPRO should use it is great for what it does for me personaly I will do lots and lots of stuff with the new titler. :)

I have had a few crashes but they have pretty much been on reopening already created animated titles. But the full version is much better than the demo. I hate having any crashes. I have only had 1 crash on the new machine from Edit HD in the 6 months or so that I have had it, so I am pretty spoiled. But the Vistitle is so much better than the other titlers that I will accept a few crashed right now.

As Steve suggested, it has been very impressive that the company has had a very interactive presence here on the forum since they introduced this titler. How impressive is it for a user to suggest a feature and they come back and say OK, it will be in the SP1 release which is due out anytime. They also have told me that they have set up a completely new machine with the English version to try and duplicate some of these crashes that they are not seeing on the Chinese version.

These guys are doing everything right so far.

While titles are not what make your project, they certainly can make a difference of initially grabbing your viewer and presenting a more professional look. Many times I have made simpler titles than I would have liked due to it not being worth the time to make them. Just like Edius with its speed, Vistitle will allow me to be more creative due to its versatility and speed. I am totally amazed at how fast I can change the length of a 3D title.

I have Zaxwerks 3D Animator that will no longer be used.

how is Boris Graffiti? It's supposed to be a tmp-like titler right?

I haven't had the chance to use it.

graffiti i think is a little better than TMP. But take a look at vistitle...even though its the first version...it looks like its going to overtake all those titlers.

If you can afford Boris, might as well take a look at VisTitle then.
