re capturing an edit from SD to HDV

I have an SD project with a complete edit in my time line (original source HDV footage was captured in SD)

I need to ‘re-capture’ the original tapes in HDV to produce the same edit.

I guess a bit like an off-line to on-line.

I’ve not had to do this before and I was wondering what the best method is.
