Check out my sig, it has all the specs...unfortunately I have not tried any Canopus hardware, but OHCI is smooth.
A few things to remember though...I recommend that you use NTFS drives under XP on the Mac because if you use MacDrive and HFS+ partitions, you're going to see some issues.
Also I have the bluetooth Apple keyboard and a Wacom tablet, the keyboard has issues, you have to restart it from the back everytime you go into windows...other than that, all is well. If you get a corded mouse, I think you'll be fine.
As far as the laptops goes, I recommend the 2.4Ghz MacBook Pro with 2GB of RAM (It comes stock with 2GB). If you need more RAM, don't buy from Apple, it's too expensive. As for the LCD size, either the 15" 2.4 or the 17" 2.4. Personally, I'd get the 17" because of the 1680x1050 resolution....go to an Apple store and see which one is right for you. Nowadays, I would recommend an Apple computer to any Windows users, because of my personal experiences with it. It works fine...and Macs are well built and good looking and they get the job done :)
You can also wait until October when all the new Macs ship with Leopard so you won't have to pay for the OS update.Last edited by STORMDAVE; 07-03-2007, 07:44 PM.
