I used to grab my installed fonts on older MS O/s's and install them into my new O/S.

You might want to try that and see if it works if fonts you like/use are missing.

The problem is not that the fonts are missing, but that they show up as "invisible" in Quicktitler.

Its ONLY in quicktitler they are invisible. TM pro is fine and so are the other apps in Windows 7.

Apologies - you're quite right. I lost track of the real problem.

Its only Edius thats affected, not any other app, and only on this one font (the same font that all my presets are based on!)

            Any ideas?
checked it out here and is working fine in Quicktitler on Windows 7 64bit full install.

Hmmm. Thats odd as I too have the exact same version (Windows 7 64-bit full install with Edius 5.12) and it doesn't work. It doesn't work on Pat's system and few others here either.

Just tried the article in the last post and made no difference at all, i think it is a quicktitler problem
as the font works in other applications on my machine.

Thanks for trying Steve. It works in TM pro in Edius aswell.
I know it may sound like a small issue to some, but like in my case when you have a font used in many titles in many projects, it makes the PC unusable for existing projects till the new projects (with a different font) filter thru.

                        Raja,
just an Idea - I didn't tried it myself yet - but it may work.
As I read somewhere else the Quicktitler error should be valid for all "Open Type" OT-fonts.There is a program called "Crossfont" which is capable to convert those fonts to True Type. The True Type fonts should be OK with Quick Titler.
So maybe you give that a try ...
                        Regards
                        Joe

You may want to try another font converter (not cheap, but you can try the demo version): http://www.fontlab.com/font-converter/transtype/

Tried it. Still doesn't work. Even tried converting it to a type 1 font (.pfm file), still the same. Something bizarre in quicktitler.
