  • How do I....

    I use Edius 5 w/P2.

I have one huge clip on the P2 card, I only need to save a few seconds of the clip on to my HD. Is there a way to save just part of a P2 clip so I don't fill up my HD? Using P2 select I can only grab & import the entire clip. Thanks, Walt

Yes in EDIUS 5.xx you can do a partial download of the media. (not if the files are on the harddisks)

If you have a fast card-reader, you can just open the P2 media directly from EDIUS, (no need to copy the entire file into your HDD) - and from timeline, you can select the portion of the video you desire, and save it in Canopus HQ format.
