3D Transition transition not Transparent

Another question-- on my 3D transitions, where I want the background transparent (to show another video through it on a lower videotrack), the region stays black- I hve gone into the configuration window and selected transparent (the other options are there and are active when I click on them like video A, B, matte) transparent seems to "activate" but doesn't show transparent on the timeline.-- anyone with any ideas?--

This has been broken every since it came out, you just have to shift Q that transition and do a luma key for it to see the track below.

Wow!-- that's nasty!-- I was dissappointed there was no option to select a BMP for the background on any-- even the old Rex Xplodes had that!
