Reinstall using demo

I needed to reinstall Edius5 but I misplaced my v5 install disk. can I use the demo to reinstall & update to 5.12?

the dongle's still in place. just didn't know if with my actual SN and the dongle if I could get it back to 512 .

I'll keep looking for that AWOL disk

Luckily, the dongle and SN are not associated, so I'd give it a try.

Who needs AOL discs anyhow?

Previously, version 4 I think, it was not possible to make the time limit from the demo disapear by using the demo and dongle, I think 5 is no different.
Also was it not possible to update the demo to a higher version.

I know it's a large download, but why don't you get it from the GV web site ?

I have all version 4 and 5 files on HDD, never know when you can help your self or others .......

Thanks Rusty & SF. I found the errant disk vacationing in another part of the office.

sound, you did bring up an interesting idea to make an ISO file of important disks and put on a BD disk for backup.

I allways Carry a 1 TB hdd around, that way I have every app & data file I always need. Even a dual layer bd disc is a good idea, but not many people use it. Once bd becomes a standard like DVD drives are now in pc's it may become viable.
