  • jvc proHD from tapless camera

    is there a way to import JVC proHD material in to edius 5 ?
    I'm on win XP system and the QT files are visible but I can't open them nor import them in to edius 5 (by drag n drop)
    advise please
    gigabyte P35-DS4, Core2Duo 2.66, 2GB Ram, ATI1650Pro 256DDR3, 4 x HDD, WinXP 32bit

    shoot in mp4 mode - the QT files are for FCP editing

      unfortunately is footage I received (and didn't shoot my self) is there any way to use them? like maybe converting them (if yes with what)?

        Let's say I like to shoot in a MOV wrapper (no folders to deal with, realtime playback in Final Cut, etc..) but I need to work in Adobe Premiere.. is

            Although I record in M2T from my JVC HD200, I not sure why your unable to open QT in E5. I do it all the time with no issues. what version of QT is installed on your system?

              QT is only a wrapper - the files in question are from either the GY-HM100 or GY-HM700 which use a codec not supported in this wrapper in Edius.

                the application found through the link provided works fine, converting QT wrapped files in to mpgs that PC can read, many thanks again
