  • Two brief questions

First, I have a DVCPRO HD 720 60p clip that has one frame with two white spots. Unknown if it occurred during recording or perhaps during copying. Is there an easy way to delete one frame on the timeline ?

Second, when doing dissolves into material that has only a few frames of "fluff" before an important part, is there a way to clone the first frame of the "dissolve into" video so that the important part is not included in the dissolve ?

    1. zoom to frame level, cut with C key at start of bad frame and cut with c key at end of bad frame

select the bad frame and press alt+delete

    2. cut with C key at start of important bit, apply slow motion, try 25% to the few remaining frames in front of the cut and add the dissolve

      Another way...

Zoom into the timeline to the frame level, set an in and out point over the frame(s) and then select the Alt-D key combination to delete between the in and out point and then close the gap.
