It looks like the clips are merged when they are cross-faded together, at least the bottom of the clips are (where you find the PiP and the mix curves) I thought I'd try and render the clips with the cross-fades to another track, do cuts where the old edit points were and just do the PiP then, problem is I get little glitches at the cuts. I'm stumped. Does anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this?

    Thanks!

Just place the clip you want to dissolve from on a track higher then the track you are dissolving to. (Place the clip you are coming out of on 2V and keep the clip you dissolving to on 1V)

    Overlap them.

Use the transparency rubber band on the high track to dissolve to the lower track :)

Keyers are shared between clips with transitions.
The way around is either to put stuff on higher layers (dissolve the keyer in/out) or use nested sequences.
