Why Edius program closes entirely when exiting an individual project.

I'm a newbie.

A basic question I have that I haven't been able to resolve either by help docs, forums, etc is why the whole program shuts down when exiting an individual project.

Is there a way of exiting a program without this happening or is this simply the way it's designe OR am I missing something?

If you use "File<>Exit, YES it will as will any other program, there is no File close or "Project close"?, BUT
Try "File<>NEW", may fix your problem. The current project will be discarded and you will be asked to save if required
