            Mike or whomever,

We hope that you will find all the information you need here!
I'm getting information but having a devil of a time figuring out to make some things happen. Perhaps a short FAQ and forum topic about how to navigate and post on this forum with all the right tools might be in order. I can't for the life of me figure out how to use the multi-quote tool or is it not working? I was overjoyed to find such a tool (I think), yet frustrated to not figure it out.

                Hi Ron,

A couple of things to help you on your way:

                - Each forum has a description, which hopefully should explain its purpose
                - There's currently two FAQs (click the link in the top toolbar), one covers the GV factor, the other is a more general vBulletin software FAQ (which covers most of the general usage stuff). It's worth a look.

To use the multi-quote tool, you click on the multi-quote button for each of the posts you plan to stick into your reply. Then click the 'Quote' button on the actual post you're immediately responding to (remember, even if you're reading the forums in 'flat' mode, others read it in 'threaded' mode, so there is a hierachical structure to any thread).

Your post entry box should now include all the quotes you choose. Chop them done to your liking and insert your responses.

More quoting options and tags are in the vBulletin FAQ.

Aha! I missed the "general vBulletin FAQ. Quite informative! Thanks!

Since that wasn't covered in the FAQ, thanks again! It's something different from what I imagined.

Welcome back! The header page from the email kinda reminded me of the
original forum look 96'. Good to see the 'official' forum back on line.

After reading the new forum since it is back up, I prefer black type on an off white backgound to white on black. Advertising research (see Ogilvie on Advertising) has demonstrated that white type on a black backgound is less legible than the reverse. An option for a black on white alternative would be useful.

Shows how different we all are,
I love the new look with the white text on black,
so much easier on the eyes than always looking onto a white screen.

                            Just my 2cents ;)

You know, this forum software supports "templates"...why not have another one that is the exact opposite (negative) of this same text? IE. Black on a brighter background? Just another "Grass Valley" template would be nice and it would please everyone.

                              You can pick between 2.
