  • Advice!

    Hello!
First of all, sorry for my poor english (I am french speaking). I would like to buy a "PNY Quadro FX 3500 or 1500". Do you think it's a good idea and a good choice to have real time for Xplode Pro 4.5, "Vitascene" and "Heroglyph" from Prodad?
I work with "NX for HDV + Expansion kit" (PCI-X), Edius 4.24, Supermicro XDA8-G2, graphic card ATI EAX800XT, 2x1 Gigas dual channel Kingston memory (DDR2 ecc reg), Plextor Blue-ray drive.

It's my first post in this forum and Thank you for your advices

You won't realize any benefit for Xplode 4.5 -- Can't imagine the prodad products will make good use of that card either, versus something like an Nvidia 8800 or ATI 9550 card.

The Quadro cards are designed to benefit "CAD, DCC and visualization applications" per Nvidia's website.

Even the Matrox Axio and Avid Liquid systems prefer high end "gamers" cards instead of the Quadro line for their GPU driven effects, so if you don't have a specific need for a Quadro, I don't think it's a good value for the money.
