  • Weird view problem getting annoying

I am having a view problem I know its nothing thats "wrong" I dont know if its Windows 7 or the latest version of Edius. When I open a import window within Edius if my view in the window is set to list which unfortunatly is the default it seems. the fonts and icons are the same color as the background so I cant see what im trying find. If I change to "List" its fine I can see. I know it sounds like a small thing and it is but its really starting to get on my nerves. Is there a setting either in Windows or Edius that can fix this without me having to change it every time I open a new import window?

o.k. check that the issue us when the view setting is on "details" then the background behind the files and folders is white and the files and folders blend into the background making it very hard to see. I can change the windows view to list and its fine but I need to change it every time I open a import window which gets annoying.

this maybe a windows 7 problem, I can,t see this here

does windows 7 have settings in performance option that you can untick such as visual styles, or maybe try another theme?

It would'nt be so bad if I get set it up that the window always opened in "list" view but every folder seems to be different. It just gets tedious changing to list view every time I open a import/save as/export window.

                    Hi Rando

I can confirm that we saw this behaviour in the RC of win7.....only in Edius from memory.

I am not sure what the cause is but you could try this......open a folder and set it to list view then open the folder options from the menu and set this as the default view for all folders by clicking the left hand button at the top 3rd of the property page (Set All Folders I think) and then apply at the bottom.....there are also a list of other useful folder options you can select from that may help narrow it down.

It should set all the folders to display as list.....you may need to open your file add dialogs from within the various programs you use and open a file from list view to make it stick for that program.
