I always stop the timeline and freeze frame to a particular frame and choose it and send it to the bin from the little camera icon.
This automatically is a file of the type bmp.a bitmap....but
When I take this 1920x1080 pixel file from our ex cameras into photoshop to be part of a final dvd cover I am not that impressed with the quality?
Should I save out or convert to tga. or png for better results
    Thanks in advance

go to plugin settings, still image exporter and choose tga and set to frame, this will give u way better resolution than the field setting
