'V' Doesn't make clip markers

go to Marker dropdown menu and make sure "Display clip markers on player" is ticked

Maybe I didn't explain clearly.

The V button works for sequence markers. It just doesn't work for clip markers.

go to customize keyboard shortcuts and make sure V is assigned to "Set Mark"

I can't seem to create a clip marker. I am pressing V in the player window but nothing happens. No clip marker. I tried to right click and select "set clip marker" but nothing happens.

What could be wrong?

I am using Edius 5 v5.12
