Audio output with Encore

I am having a new strange problem. I just finished a pretty big wedding with Edius (not too crazy though) when I export to a SD mepg like I always do I setup my Encore project like I always do for some reason I cant hear my audio in Encore. When I play the AC3 with VLC its fine and when I play a second timeline I created for the same wedding its fine in and out of Encore. Oddly enough when I make the disc the audios there I just cant hear it in preview in Encore. Im using a spark preset that has 8 channels of audio could that be it?

I thought I was going crazy. Same thing happened to me this morning - and I used to be able to play the audio in Encore no problem. There were some updates for CS4 within the past week or so - maybe that's causing the problem.

I went ahead and created the image file then burnt with Image Burn - the DVD plays fine. The mpg file from Edius was Dolby stereo/384K.

I know this doesn't solve your problem - but it is not just you.

edit - looks like it might have something to with whether or not primary or elementary streams are being used
