  • AVCHD2HQ converts just part of the .m2ts file

    Can somebody help me, please?

I cannot convert he exported clips from Picture Motion Browser in .m2ts format to Canopus HQ avi format because most of the time AVCHD2HQ exits without any error message before finishing to convert the whole lenght of the clip. It seems that my PC works well, but now I installed AVCHD2HQ and Edius 4 on my notebook (P4 2.4 GHz) as well, tried the same conversion and succeeded to convert only one 3 minutes clip, the others were converted just partially: 10-25% of their length.
Earlier AVCHD2HQ worked well and when I recognized the problem I reset the slight overclock (Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 on 2.6 GHz instead of 2.4 GHz), succeded to convert several clips, but it does not work any more...

If you are having troubles, I would get rid of the overclock.

Have you tried converting it through Procoder?

Another thing you may try is updating the AVCHD converter if you aren't running V1.02 -- the link is in this post:

My PC is already set back to "normal" mode, but it still does not work and no error message when stops.

I have Procoder Express, but it does not recognize .m2ts files

Have you tried to convert to another hard drive?

                Yes I did.
I have three drives (2 SATA and 1 IDE) plus an firewire/USB external, but the conversion does not work with neither of them.
