Maybe it's because of twelve hours of non-stop editing but I can't seem to successfully import Sony EX-1 files (mp4). I'm using Clip Browser 2.5 and have no problems copying the files from the SxS cards onto the harddrive. When I bring the clips into Edius (right click > open folder) There are three copies of each clip. It seems as if two are the same and one may be meta. Either way, how do I manage the clips so I only have one version of each and so they are all in one folder? Many thanks.

Open the clip browser....browse to your files on the hard drive then drag them from the clip browser to the Edius bin.

I realized that the Clip Browser option inside of Edius in not there. Maybe during the recent upgrade they forgot to add it? Nevertheless, isn't there a way to add all of the clips in one shot so they are in one particular folder? I have a of of clips. It would be much easier versus dragging so many files. Plus there are three copies of each clip (not sure how to deal with that either). ThanksDavid

Naked Eye - Thanks for your help.
Steve - I'm using 5.10 not 5.12, could that make a difference? I think it probably wasn't installed.Last edited by DMS Video; 08-06-2009, 05:02 PM.David

It could but if you did not install sony clip browser it will not show up in EDIUS because it is not installed.
So download the latest clip browser from Sony and then see if it shows up in 5.11 of not upgrade to 5.12.
But I think it shows up in 5.11 to if it is installedSteve

Steve,
My system HAD 5.1 which turned out to be the problem. We just upgraded to 5.12 and all is good again. I now have the Clip Browser option under "Capture."David
