  • More DVD workflow recomendations

I have been reading the threads on HD to SD DVD
I see the workflow through Antons VirtualDub method
My question is after the new 16:9 SD avi file is created from the HD Timeline what is the best workflow for creating the MPEG file and Authoring and Burning

    1. Creating the MPEG to be authored

    a. Canopus TimeLine and if so could someone share settings they use
    MPEG Exporter
    b. TMPGeng
    c. Procoder Express
    d. Procoder 3.x

    2. Burning the MPEG
    1. Encore
    2.DVD-Lab
    3. Ulead Movie Factory

    Thanks
    Chris

Most of the time I export HQ file, encode in TMPGenc4 Express( 2 pass VBR ) then to DVDLab Pro. IF it has problems I now resort to the Virtual Dub method but most of the time I am happy with the TMPGenc output.
For Bluray encode same HQ file from Vegas, author in DVD Architect 5. When I have Bluray and SD needs of the same show I use Architect for both. I only have to author once then and just exchange files and project settings. Architect still has problem with remote button to select top menu. This results in return to last menu in sequence rather than Top Menu.
