  • Edius 5.11 output to monitor problem

I am having problems understanding why sometimes my output to an external monitor stops working and why other times it works great. Does is have to do with the project settings? Is there some button that I can click on that toggles output to the monitor?

it depends which hardware you use

if NX or SP, be sure your project setting is set to NX or SP presets and not OHCI

similar thing will apply to Storm products

project setting can be easily changed while project is open

I'm using HD Storm. I changed it from Generic OHCI HD to HQX-E1 HD and it worked! Thanks! Do you know why everytime I go to change the project setting this message comes up, "Mulitiple output devices are found. Please select you output hardware." What's this mean and where do I select the output hardware?

This message informs you that Edius has found multiple I/O devices.
You create Presets to select which device to use.
Once your Presets are created, you can switch back and forth.

There is a check box to not show this message. Check it. It is very redundant and serves no purpose. When you open a project, the initial screen has the option. anything not OHCI is hardware based.
