Are you wanting to add motion do these? You could use Imaginate or Stage Tools for that. I can't remember the size limit for Edius, but you might try
resizing the photos to the project settings..HD or SD.
    Also check your quicktime installation.

also check the file extension name - edius is very fussy about file extensions

chage them to .jpg as opposed to Jpeg or such like

        you know what ?
the easiest way is to convert your jpg files to bmp via paint or irfanview..
        edius supports bmp files

Please check that Apple Quicktime is installed and running properly. No QT, no images.

No! The easiest way is to find out why Edius doesnt like these JPEGS. I worked on a project for 10 hours yesterday with 300 jpgs in the bin.

Post all the info of the Jpeg - file size dimensions, check that it is RGB 8bit. Can you load direct to the timeline? Eliminate a problem dragging from the Bin and ideally post one of the files somewhere - if its large then put on yousendit and post link

All JPEGs are 8 bits ... JPEG does not support 16 bits.

happens to me once that the frames were CMYK mode... changing to RGB solved the problem...

Hmmm, that's news to me. I never knew JPEG support 8 bits in CYMK as well. Will test that out using Photoshop. You learn something everyday :-).

I just tried to import jpegs, but all I got were black placeholders. My photos were too big. I resized them smaller in Photoshop, and all was fine.

In all of the formats, size matters.

Yeah, Anton answered my query of max size
in another thread. 4000x4000 was the max for those
                          who werenwondering.
