  • Can't connect with DVR

I am running EDIUS 4.5 on Windows XP SP3 with an ACEDVio card. Using the 4-pin DV connection, I have no problem capturing from or playing video to my Sony DCR-TRV140 camera. However, I cannot connect to my Panasonic DMR-EH75V or Panasonic DMR-ES15 DVD recorders. Windows tells me there is no driver installed and the device has a problem (confirmed through the Device Manager). I can't seem to find any Windows specific drivers for either DVD recorder on the web, and Panasonic does not supply any. My camera hooks up directly to the these DVD recorders just fine using the same DV connection.

My video partner is running EDIUS 4.5 on Windows XP SP2 with an NHX2 board. He connects to his Panasonic DMR-ES15 recorder with no problem using the 4-pin DV connection, but he does get the same error when trying to connect to his Panasonic DMR-EH30 recorder.

I am not sure if I have an ACEDVio, Windows or recorder issue. Anybody have any ideas on solutions?
    Tim
