Shot on a Parrot Anafi, edited in EDIUS WG 9.2
We bought our first and only drone in August 2018.
We soon posted an "Our First Flight" video,as do hundreds of other new drone pilots.
We have noticed that few new pilots post follow up videos of their subsequent flights. We have decided to do something completely different.
Here, probably for the first time ever on the internet, is the very first
"Our First 6 Months with a Parrot Anafi"

Guys (and gals!),
Here's a new Festival Short I recently completed which has been garnering quite a few awards at the Winter festivals. I shot it on a Canon XF400 4K camera at 1080p, and of course edited on EDIUS. I find as EDIUS matures, it's getting more in tune with editing dramatic films.
My best to all,
Alan
it's great. I like the different camera angles and cuts in this emotional dialouges and of course the great acting.Leave a comment:

Captain,
Much appreciate your astute comments - and many thanks. The gal who played the young mother and wrote the script is a big supporter of hiring disabled mentally or physically handicapped actors, writers, etc. - being pretty severely handicapped herself from polio as a child. This script was an attempt to portray someone who is mentally "handicapped" by a traumatic situation, who can be helped by understanding friends. That was her attempt, and I thought she did a good job of portraying her role.
The original script was OK, but I did feel the actors brought the level up to where it was a really good depiction of the human endeavors. This was my challenge as director of the piece.
Again - your comments were spot-on, and much appreciated.

However, I really appreciate to see some fictional stuff done by someone here! The acting was really good. My biggest compliment goes to you for the decision to make a short film on that subject and to seriously try investigating what people feel and do in such a situation.Leave a comment:

You. Are. Awesome. Great stuff Alan. It is nice to see quality acting in shorts like this. Glad to Sam recovered from her accident.
I don't know how many people happened to catch the singer/songwriter at the end. If you don't know her look her up ;-)
Impressive all the way around!Leave a comment:

Barbara is a doll and a dear friend. 87 years young and as sharp as a tack. Still takes dancing lessons in between teaching. So happy you enjoyed her performance.
