    • I'm new to Edius 7 (after Première Elements). After some on screen training I made a short movie to exercise, just for fun. With only photographs.
The music is a mix of smartsound and self made.

      Kind regards.

          • Thank you John.
It was fun working on my first Edius job. Much more fun than editing with my previous NLE of choice.

Next I am going to get down to making a few tutorials for others who may be thinking of migrating across from other NLEs . . . . . . .

            • Quadcopters

              Hey Folks.

Spent years shooting underwater using EDIUS, now flying mutlirotors. How life can change. :-)

Started flying these thing back in April 2013, but not long after that I soon realized that flying the DJI Phantoms was just all too easy and boring, so I got into more performance based Quadcopters with brushless gimbals that could fly at 100kmph.

From that I progressed to FPV flying (Video Goggles) and that led to my own designs.

Here is a prototype mini I call the "QUADI 300" built for a GOPRO3, should have the final version nailed soon. It can fly on 5 or 6 inch props and weight is about 700 grams all up. These mini's are so small, you can just about fly then anywhere.

The thing with EDIUS is I can edit the 8 bit GoPro footage in 10 bit increasing the output quality even if I shoot in Protune res with the GoPro.

              Anyhow enjoy the rides :-)

This second one is a smaller QUADI 250 version that shoots with a Mobius Action Cam.
Just some clips from the last few months of design and testing it.

                      • Mark. I've shot a lot of footage, and seen one hell of a lot of footage - but I've never seen any to equal what I just had the pleasure of viewing. My heartiest congratulations. You must just smile when you see your results - I did!

                            • I am really liking the GH4. It replaced my Panasonic HPX170 which just wasn't sharp enough for the subject matter that I shoot. Having always shot with conventional camcorders I was a little hesitant to switch to the DSLR type form factor what with its CMOS chips, rolling shutter and 4:2:0 color space. However, I have got to say I made the switch with no problems. I don't currently have the dock as I have not needed it so far.
