    Thanks

If you create a "floating Graphic" in AE or even have portions of it which are tranparent or gradient, you can retain this upon export for use in an NLE or on another sequence in AE.

Upon export choose Canopus HQ codec and in channels box, change the default from rgb to rgb + alpha.

    hope that helps.

    • Plano Balloon Festival

Here's something I quickly slapped together after a day out with my wife and friends. It was a hot air balloon festival in Plano near Dallas, Texas.

IMHO the scenes that you used under the interviews were a bit too short. Very nice quality pictures.

Working with performance artist Linda Montano is always a pleasure. She pushes my creative envelope. Using an interesting animation program called Crazy Talk and edited on EDIUS, this is one of our recent efforts.

There are lots more on her channel that link to YouTube and Vimeo postings. I have edited all her recent work on display here.

Here is an OBB sequence I cut for "Tween Hearts" a Teen drama series airing on the GMA network in the Philippines. It was shot on an Arri Alexa, converted to Apple Pro-res and edited on Edius 6.03. Enjoy! :-)

Additionally, on the "color" drop-down list, select "straight (unmatted)" as opposed to "premultiplied (matted)"

A premultiplied alpha channel adds a black halo around the floating image, more noticable in semi-transparent areas. An unmatted alpha channel comes out cleaner. Hope that helps. :-)
