Fortunately, we were still able to get some great new Milky Way, and Neowise Comet lapses. So, lots of compositing was necessary to create and fill in the additional content which was needed. The new Threadripper 3960, made the process much easier!

2020 as we all know has been a very challenging year, to say the least. For the past few years, we have been making one of these night sky time lapse films e...

Be careful what kind of music you choose, since it creates the mood for the viewers. Heavy Metal Rock for such a peaceful and natural visual context seems to be a serious mismatch.

If you live in the same place for most of your life, you tend to get used to your environment and stop noticing everyday things.
When a stranger comes into your neighbourhood they are likely to notice the things that you no longer see.
Quite often, when a stranger asks a local person, "What is that over there?", a usual answer is likely to be, "I don't know. I haven't really noticed it before."
Even after 20 years in Japan my gaijin-eyes still find interesting things that my Japanese neighbours seldom pay attention to.
Here Megumi and I take a look at some Japanese rice farmers as the till their paddy fields and then plant rice seedlings in the soft muddy bottom.
We have used a mixture of footage taken both from ground level and from above.
    Regards,
    Douglas and Megumi

I liked that much more. However, I found many of the cuts too fast to watch the pictures comfortly. Always keep in mind that you want to show something to an audience that has not yet seen it! Particularly, if there is many details to see: give your audience time to explore them!

Must be some of those art things... it is there, but it does not mean anything unless you are the creator.
