              • Here is my lastest work. I did not use Edius unfortunately. But now that I have Edius I believe my videos will come out alot better. Edius is soo solid on my pc.

                This video was done with a stock Canon XH-A1.
                http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw-FTUDNjcI

                Now my Camera is rigged out with a follow focus , shoot35 sgblade adapter, nikon ai-s manual lenses , matte box , and my very favorite smallHD 5.6 720p display.

                I think this new setup increased my performance quality alittle bit. Im going to do some short tests this weekend of my new presets. Cant wait to make something using Edius.

                Thanks,
                Chris

                  Ted I think your work is fantastic. Very inspiring. I think you should also post the link to your behind the scenes video for that shoot. It is always fun to see how things are made. 2 quick questions for you;
                  1. How much of the equipment used were things you made (Ted is the KING of DIY)
                  2. For the shot that shows the girl swimming underwater and the villas in the background...was that a composite of two shots?

                    • My friend's 9 year old daughter's first Edius video.

                      Hi All.

                      One of my friends has a nine year old daughter who has got an unbelievable understanding of editing. At the moment she has been using Vegas 10 demo, which she managed to find on her own. I invited them to my studio to show her what kind of stuff I do. We decided to have a mess about to see what it was that she understood. She also has the bug for drawing and animation. The following example is what she done. We used some of her computer drawn pictures and done some very basic animation with titles, keyframes, and voice over. Nearly everything in this short piece was her own doing, with a little tech help from me. She even done a basic story board with script and transition layout. I was totaly amazed at her understanding, she even used words like transition, intro, voice over etc. The best bit was how she made her own informed decision on how Edius was better than Vegas and easier to understand. This is a clear example of how well suited Edius is for education.

                      Cheers.

                      Dave.

                            I could not believe how much she understood. The other good thing with someone of that age, is the lack off constraints in their artistic view. She will be using Neo soon, and there was some mention of my job. Again, proof that Edius is intuitive and logical for the best part.

                              Very, very cute! Make sure you save that for her future DVD/Blu-ray/whatever-future-newfangled-technology!!

                              It's nice to see youth thinking on their own without imposed constraints. There is hope for television yet... :)
