This is just trailer...no color correction, it's not finish yet
I loved it! Nice shooting, nice editing, great story. I especially liked the closing shot of the group leaving the straw field. Most of all it did what a trailer should...I wanted to see more.

Nothing too special. Just showing it cause it was green screened. I just dropped the chromakey filter on and turned down the range.

Ive done some other green screen stuff and it keyed out pretty good even when the screen had blown out spots and dark spots. Just gotta tweak it a little.

I hear horror stories of people trying to chromakey with FCP unless they have a special plug in.

          • I did a preliminary cut under this mashed up track in EDIUS (with test footage), but then I did it all in AE (OS X). Not sure if this counts as using EDIUS, but thought I'd share.

            • Corporate Video shot entirely w 7D

Heres a corporate project I finished last week shot entirely with the Canon EOS 7D. Edit and Grading in EDIUS.

The crane shots were done with a DIY 13 foot jib. But otherwise, all the dolly/track shots were done with the DIY mini track & jib.

                • Very nice the moving camera having moved moves on sort of thing. The time lapse to dark was magic I would have left it a bit longer. Lots of work there the client must have loved it. I was a little unhappy (IMHO) about some of the change of frame cuts in the interview pieces but it is a well used technique. I wish I had done it.

                      LOL!

I'd like to share this material I did a while back but recently got noticed in my country,
it was chosen by the film committee to represent my island for the first time in a film fest held in our nation's capital last Feb 17, Cinema Rehiyon 2010.

Edited and color graded in EDIUS.
Shot with my own custom built 35mm adapter attached to a JVC HD200 camera, used only 2 lenses, 50mm & 80-200mm.

Hope you guys like it here.

                      • Cool Ted,
Nicely twisted plot with visuals colored in an un-twisted way.

                        • Kids on the Trampoline

We just got a 7d. I have fiddled with it off and on but today I felt compelled to test the 60fps slo-mo ability. Its so easy to conform the 60p footage to 23.397. Another reason to love edius. The project turned out pretty cool. My twins & Wife on the trampoline.

                          • Chromakey with Edius

I am always amazed at how good Edius 5 chromakey works. This was shot with a green screen and with just one click of the chromakey I got these results.
I have tried using both FCP and Avid Media Composer using the same video/green screen and it took forever to get even similar (actually much worse) results.

I usually make an "Outtakes" clip at the end of weddings but this one bride couldn't stop laughing and I HAD to add some outtakes from the movie "A Bugs Life" and I think it came out pretty funny...

                              • Kawainui Marsh, Kailua, HI

We're visiting Kailua, O`ahu, HI and staying near the Kawainui Marsh and the Ulupo Heiau. I shot several performances of "Lei Nani" with different zooms and stitched them together with a bunch of b-roll in Edius Neo 2.5.

I'm embarrassed by the video quality, I have to dig into adjusting dynamic range soon. And get a travel tripod. But I was pretty happy that I maintained the tempo close enough to intercut the clips, and I had fun playing with some of the audio VSTs I've collected.
