i got to say i use Win XP64... recently updated to service pack 2 that allows me to install newers versions of quicktime (before it i was unabble to install 7.5 or 7.6) and just installed the new quicktime 7.62...

so: i re-installed the 5.12 update and test...

NADA: still no loading some QTs... (let me sa)y: SOME QT ARE LOADED AND SOME OTHERS NOT...

All of thoose were working normally on my E5.01 -i mean- no offline, no missing, no missworking QT (please excuse my latin english) very frustrating thing...

    from the edius readme http://cdn1.grassvalley.com/unsecure...me-en_5.12.htm

"Fixed issue with clip going offline when loading project. "

"Fixed issue with ignoring file extensions when restoring online clips. "

We are hardly working on the "what-could-we-be-doing-wrong" just before loosing mind... any help

    please...

Ah, alright. Guess I missed that. Was around 5AM when I found my way to the download page.
I know the 5.11 patch was just a hotfix, was just not sure if it was needed before installing 5.12 patch.

Thought it would be better to bump this post then make a new one.
So if you are doing a clean install of EDIUS, is the process now: 5.00 (disk) -> 5.10 -> 5.12?

I was confirmed that 5.10 includes that 5.01 patch files. So basically, does 5.12 include the 5.11 patch files or does 5.11 still need to be installed before 5.12?

    Thanks

Hmm..sorry to hear that this is making it worth for you..quite strange though.
What kind of .wav did you use?

From my understanding, there is a problem with certain Broadcast .waves...i wasnt using .bwf as a file extension, as i know Edius had problems with thtat earlier..but in the end such kind of .wav-files from Sound Device/Tascam and other recording media are still in that broadcast standart.

This problem was true for me in 5.11, i am quite puzzeled that this happens for you (even worse?) in the 5.12 update..what kind of format do the other files that cant relink have?

Thanks..did it with the Dongle and it worked..good to say that the update solves the Re-link issue for me..!

So i might migrate to Edius 5 finally..still feel shaky about it, but wont finish my big Documentary-project before 2010 and have to do other stuff at the same time..so i guess its worth it to try..!

Update of 5.12 on top of Trial?

Is it possible to put the update of 5.12 on top of the trial or not?

Id like to try that on a 2nd PC before installing it on my main system..in a first test i had serious restore problems..

It would be nice to know if this is possible and if the transition to Edius 5 makes sense to me in the end..without any majot hickups..!

    Thanks!

Well. I thought I was doing something wrong when all my files are to be "restored" ... man, that was a big pain!
    Then, lost the links again.

I hope this new update fix that.
