Hi I am very new to editing and Edius, could you give a more layman term version of how to eliminate hiss? I couldn't follow your instructions exactly I opened the audio restore and I see where I select train but don't know what "Use you are key and move th playhead with to tabs to the right." is saying sorry! I appreciate the help

You may have good luck with the Isotope 30 band EQ to create a narrow "notch filter" and diminish the offending hiss.

Izotope audio restore. It included with EDIUS 5. be sure do dowload the latest update from the dowload area.
    Anton has made a tutorial
But it is a s simple as :
    find a spot with hiss.
    applye audio restore
open the dialog by double clicking on the filter.

    Select train.
Use you arrow key and move the play head 2 frames to the right.
    Disable trainmode.
    Close the plug
    Noise is gone

    De Hiss with Edius

    Hi folks,
I'm working in Edius 5.1 and have some clips with audio that is very 'airy' there is quite a prominent hiss through out. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a filter/settings that might help me get rid of some of this hiss? Any help would be much appriciated.

    Thanks in advance
