  • Exporting Audio & DVD Chapters

In Edius 5 is it possible to export the audio to soundforge then bring it back into Edius without any sync problems?
Or what is the best setting to export video to dvd architect? Will architect re-render the video?

When printing to dvd is it possible to have all the chapters on the same page vs 3 pages?

The way it came out was when I print to dvd the first page has the full movie & the second & third page have the chapters.

Edius is good about export/import sync. I'd recommend using .wav files for best performance and cross-platform compatibility.

You need to play with this one. Edius DVD creator is kind of inflexible when it comes to menus. You can create custom menus in Photoshop.

to disable the first title menu, tick "no title menu", then only chapter menus will be used

choose a template without thumbnails and you will be able to have many chapters on a single menu page

Thanks for the input but now it gives me 2 pages instead of 3?
I have 5 chapters with pics.

Are those backgrounds you made yourself because I don't have all of them like that?

I'm unable to change the rows & columns, they are either 1-4 or vise versa?
And with simple template I only have 1?

The menu is very limited - you can select different templates.
Some will give you more thumbnails than others (even text only).

Yes, but the max only seems to be 4?

And also I have 5 chapter points on the timelne but when I go to print to DVD
              it has 6 chapters?

perhaps you don't have Edius 5.11 (it comes with lots more templates)

you can have up to 18 text buttons on a single chapter page

I think you may have a timeline marker set at the begining of the first clip on your timeline.....remove it and you will end up with the 5 you want. (I think the start of your movie creates a chapter entry point by default).

                    That's it that default chapter!
Is there a way around that? The show starts with a 2min intro, but that intro doesn't show in the chapter in dvd creator? But the image of chapter 5 & 6 are the same?

You can just change the thumbnail for each chapter by editing them in the Burn to Disc plug in....they do not need to link to the marker on the timeline.
