    Trouble exporting to tape from EDIUS SP/SDI

    Hello. A customer of mine has a trouble when exporting from EDIUS to a BETACAM digital via RS-422 an SDI, from a EDIUS SP/SDI card.

    The issue is that, altough he set REC IN value in EXPORT PARAMETERS in tape Export wizard to an exact value, recording never start at this exact value. May be; he set REC IN at 00:02:00:00, but recordind start some times at 00:02:03:00 some times at 00:01:59:00 and so ... never at exact time specified.

    I don´t know if may be any wrong setting at Tape Export Wizard.

    Please, help...

    What are his preroll settings? I am sure Anton can give you a good answer as he has used this setup.

        Just looking at possibilities. If there is not enough room for the set preroll it may be possible that it could start at different times.

          has the tape been striped at least past the 2 min mark

          is he printing to tape in assemble or insert mode, if insert, then the tape needs to be striped for more than the duration of the export

          is Edius SP set to external ref and is the Digi beta receiving the same ref while exporting

          after export is complete, return Edius to internal ref, otherwise editing will be a terrible experience

            Thanks, antons. I will transmit to my customer your suggestions. By now, he told me that settings all delay values to 7 in VCR parameter Settings, print is at exact location, with only a few frames in advance.
