I use disc capture to rip files from a wedding movie shot on a camera using the small DVD disc. Edius converts it seemingly with no problem. I check in properties and it is the correct file format. I drag the file into the time line try and run it and edius freezes and I have to restart. Any known fixes for this problem? I do not have access to the camera that it was shot on.

What video camera is it? AND what kind of file does it record on small DVD? MPEG2, AVCHD, QUICKTIME MOV, etc, etc.TingSern

Thanks for the replies I am trying the convert suggested by Anton its doing it now. I have no idea of the camera make or type, the files are vobs which ought to be standard. But although they import using disc capture the converted file just freezes edius.E9 PRO ,Intensity Shuttle capture Nvidia 650 TI LG 3D Monitor HDMI Win 10 PRO 64 Bit.Vistitle 2.6, Robuskey. Can you run GSpot against one of your files BEFORE and AFTER conversion - and post it here? We will like to see what kind of encoding is used for that DVD file ...
If you can put up one SMALL file (copy it from the DVD) up on a server somewhere - I will download it and test it here - and see if I can reproduce the problem.TingSern
