  • Adjust transition - Alt U won't work ?

Can you try: put transition between 2 clips (dissolve).
    Click on that transition
    Alt U => nothing happen !

ver 5.01 should allow to modify the transition length
    ver 5.11 Nothing

I check the short cut the "ALT" "U" is still there.

Make sure you have the transition itself selected and not a clip. You may have to scroll the timeline down to 5 or 10 frames to really get it. It is tougher now to not select one of the clips when you think you are highlighting the transition.

Works here . It is probably a selection thing. Go down to 5 frames select the transition and press at+ u you will see that it still works.

hm... it must be something wrong with my system.
I went down to 1 frame - click on the transition (to get yellow/green bars or green/yellow bars). Then Alt U - nothing !

          Any possible OE ?

            I got it now ...
it is different than previous version !
zoom in about 10 frames, click on any part of the transition (don't need to click on the junction between 2 clips & should not see any color (yellow or green).
            Then Alt U.

            Thanks.

Correct. If you are seeing colors you are selecting a clip not the transition. Unfortunately highlighting a transition in 5.xx has gotten more difficult

Yeah....it is a problem. The way I do it now (at most zoom levels) is to hover the mouse over the transistion until you get the square bracket and a 'T', then right-click and select 'Duration'. You get this near the junction with the clip.
What I also find annoying is that its very difficult to select the end of a clip while its in a transistion to adjust its length.

I've been with Canopus since 1999 (RexRT) and only recently moved over to Edius from Rex/Storm edit (even though I've bought Edius from ver.1 and all its upgrades and have 3 licences). I actually find editing more difficult with Edius than Rex/Storm edit in some areas. Edius is better overall, but some of the simple cuts only editing, selecting clips can be improved.
