  • Edius 5.1 camera deck control problem

I'm capturing an HDV tape in Edius V5.1, selecting 'generic HDV input' followed by 'capture'. The deck control to my Sony V1E becomes active, as usual the buttons light up under the player window but this time the window remains blank.

So I press play and the camera rolls, the video shows up in the player window but when I press pause it goes blank again.

erm, it's fine on my camera LCD screen.

What could be wrong? Pressing pause with Edius 5.01 with the deck control buttons always showed the paused scene in the player window. I am finding it confusing now.

Clare - Noted your post so having just updated to 5.1 decided to try it!
Machine Sony HVR M15E, Tape HDV, connected via Firewire, Capture Generic HDV.
Exactly the same problem looks like a 5.1 bug - over to GV.

        Hi Guys

This has been my experience with OHCI 1394 HDV from connected devices in 4.6, 5.0, 5.01 & 5.1.
HVR-M15 in pause mode via OHCI 1394 = grey screen....I dont think it has ever been different....could be wrong though.

        Cant remember back to 3.62.

        Dave.
