I'll run through the things I as told to try when I had the problem with my new config and nx card. I had same problem, worked in OHCI mode and didn't in nx mode.

Start with a reformatted hard drive and fresh XP install.
Edius won't work with Vista, or didn't for me.

    Motherboard bios upodate.
driver updates for all installed cards, graphics etc.
pcie latency to greater than 64, I set mine to 128
pci frequency, set to 100hz and not auto.
overlay settings in edius, change and test, I found that the no tearing/combing worked best for me, but I got this from the canopus motherboard compatibility list, which had a simialr mobo to mine on it and suggested this option. Mine is gigabyte, so I'd check yours.

Do you run XP and vsta on different drives?
Have you always had dual boot?
