  • CG locks up in Titlemotion & Quicktitler when trying to save file.

    I have Edius 5.01.

Out of the blue this started: Whenever I go to "save and Exit" or "save as and Exit" from the cg window (both Titlemotion & Quicktitler do this) then when the cg creation window tries to close Edius locks up completely. Then I have to do a Ctl+Alt+Delete and force Edius to close.

However: IF I right-click on an existing CG file inside the Bin and choose "Edit" and do the above it works fine.

I have lots of CG and I need to just double click them on the timeline to open up the CG program/window to change them or create new ones but I can't without it locking up.

    Any Ideas???

For TMP, instead of "save & exit" or "save as & exit" you can Export - Export ICG file. Maybe something corrupted ... you can re-install the software.

Same problem here with TMP. Infact TMP has proved to be so unstable in
v5.01 that I've reverted to Quicktitler. TMP would not allow re edit without crashing or locking up despite a re install. QT seems to be stable. I'm working with an upgrade from v4.

yes, TMP disk that came with the v5 upgrade, insert disk and wait (for quite some time) while the install wizard does the set up then it asks for the original v3 or v4 TMP disk to be inserted. Instal then completes within a few seconds and asks for a re boot.
I was able to load in old files into a standard def project that I still had from v4 and able to edit the same without any problems but I've not been able to do the same in the hidef project I have at the moment without TMP constantly hanging every time I try to edit a file - it makes no odds if it's a new file or an existing one or if the existing one is present on the timeline or not.

I'm happy with what I've managed to get from Quicktitler but it's a bit of a pain having gone through the learning curve for TMP.

are you using a single or dual monitors

if dual, is TmPro opened on primary or secondary?

It's a dual monitor system with TMP in primary monitor. Graphics card is a Radeon HD 2600 pro.

since it works in a new project, I can rule out graphics card driver

can you totally clear the temp folder and then try again, maybe there is a corrupted tmpro temp file
